Dismiss an ai suggestion

An operator discards a generated suggestion without sending it.

When this happens: Operator clicks Dismiss or clears the composer and types their own reply instead.

Step by step

    Click Dismiss under the suggestion.

    Sets AiSuggestion.Outcome = Dismissed. Clears the composer.

Implicit dismissal

Instead of clicking Dismiss, selects all the suggested text and types a fully different reply, then sends it. Treats the suggestion as Dismissed (its text was not sent) and sends the operator's own text as a normal reply with , no AiSuggestionId.

Good to know

  • A dismissed suggestion is retained for the conversation and for reporting (FR-08) — it is not deleted.
