Follow the technical delivery status of a whatsapp message

An Operator sees a sent message's status progress from Sent to Delivered to Read, live, as Meta's status webhooks arrive.

When this happens: Meta delivers a statuses[] webhook entry for the message.

    Sees the delivery tick change from single to double in the Inbox, without refreshing.

    Delivers a delivered status webhook for the message. EasyCRM matches it by ProviderMessageId, sets Delivered, and pushes the update to the conversation's SignalR group. Later delivers a read status webhook. Sets Read; the tick turns blue.

If something goes wrong

Out-of-order status

A delivered status arrives after a read status already applied (network reordering). The later, higher status is not regressed — Read is kept.

Good to know

  • Status only ever advances Sent — Delivered — Read, or moves to the terminal Failed; it never regresses.
