Configure widget behavior outside working hours
An Admin decides what a visitor sees outside working hours: an offline-message form, an auto-reply text that still accepts messages, or hiding the widget entirely.
When this happens: Admin opens the widget's Hours & Behavior tab.
Step by step
- 1
Open Hours & Behavior — Out-of-Hours section.
EasyCRM shows the mode selector: Offline form / Auto-reply text / Hide widget, and (for Auto-reply) a text box per language, plus optional Notify users.
- 2
Select Auto-reply text, enters Were offline right now — leave a message and well reply first thing tomorrow, and adds the on-call Supervisor to Notify.
- 3
Click Save.
EasyCRM saves and records
LiveChatWidgetOutOfHoursBehaviorChanged.
Other paths
Hide the widget outside hours
Select Hide widget. The launcher is not rendered outside working hours; the loader still runs (monitoring continues).
If something goes wrong
Auto-reply text missing
If mode is Auto-reply text but no text is set for a supported language. Blocks save with an inline error naming the missing language.
Good to know
- Auto-reply and offline-form messages still create a normal conversation in the shared Inbox — nothing sent out-of-hours is lost.
- The widget re-evaluates working hours on every message send, not only on page load.
