Configure the widget's appearance, greeting, language and position

An Admin sets how the widget looks and speaks: launcher color and icon, screen corner, supported languages, and a greeting per language, meeting WCAG 2.1 AA contrast and interaction requirements.

When this happens: Admin opens the widget's Appearance tab.

Step by step

  1. 1

Open Admin — Live Chat — [Widget] — Appearance.

EasyCRM shows color picker, icon picker, position (bottom-right / bottom-left), supported languages, greeting text per language, and a live preview.

  2. 2

Sets primary color to a company brand blue, position *Bottom Right*, supported languages *English, Romanian*, and greeting Hi! How can we help? / Bună! Cu ce te putem ajuta?.

  3. 3

    Click Save.

EasyCRM checks the color's contrast against message-bubble text (≥ 4.5:1); saves; records LiveChatWidgetAppearanceChanged. The widget on the live website picks up the new appearance on next load — no redeploy.

Other paths

Visitor's browser language not supported

A visitor's browser language is French, which the widget does not support. The widget falls back to the Default Language (English) and offers the manual language switcher (English / Romanian).

If something goes wrong

Color fails contrast check

At step 5 the chosen color's contrast against message text is below 4.5:1. Suggests the nearest compliant shade; the Admin accepts it or picks another color before saving.

Good to know

  • Widget UI is keyboard-operable, screen-reader-labeled, and announces new messages via an aria-live region. (FR-22-003, BRD §9)
  • Widget chrome strings ship in en, ro-RO and ru; company-authored greeting text is free text per language.
