Manage the refused/lost reason list

An Admin curates the list of reasons available when a conversation is set to Refused/Lost, using the same predefined-list editor already used for lead loss reasons and other system-named lists.

When this happens: Admin opens Admin — Conversation Settings — Reasons.

Step by step

  1. 1

Open the Reasons tab, which opens the predefined-list editor scoped to the Refused/Lost reason list.

EasyCRM shows the seeded options — Not Interested, Price Too High, Chose a Competitor, Unresponsive Customer, Duplicate or Spam, Out of Service Area, Other — in order.

  2. 2

Click Add Option, enters *Budget Constraints*, saves.

    Appends the option, active.

Other paths

Rename an option

Renames Price Too High to Pricing Objection. Propagates the rename to every conversation that references the option; every existing record shows the new label.

Reorder or deactivate

Reorders options, or deactivates one no longer offered going forward. Deactivated options stay valid on conversations that already carry them.

If something goes wrong

Delete an in-use option

Attempts to delete Duplicate or Spam while 40 conversations reference it. Rejects, naming the count: 40 conversations use this reason — deactivate it instead; nothing is deleted.

Good to know

  • The Refused/Lost reason list is seeded for every company and the list itself cannot be deleted.
  • An in-use option can be deactivated but not deleted.
