Enable or disable the ai assistant for messenger conversations

An Admin turns the AI Assistant on or off for one connected Facebook Page independently of the company's other channels.

When this happens: Admin opens the Messenger connection's detail and toggles AI Assistant.

Step by step

    Open /admin/channels/messenger/{id}.

    Toggles AI Assistant on.

    Sets AiChannelSetting.Enabled = true for this connection; new conversations on it are eligible for the company's configured AI mode (Auto Reply or Copilot).

Disable

Toggles it off. Conversations already handled by the AI on this connection hand over to an operator per FR-28's takeover rules; no reply is silently dropped.

Good to know

  • AI enablement is per connection, not company-wide.
  • An AI-sent message on this channel still obeys the window and capability rules like any operator send.
