Send media and files the channel supports
An Operator attaches an image, video, audio clip or document that the conversation's channel can carry, optionally with a caption, and sends it.
When this happens: Operator clicks Attach in the composer and selects a file.
Step by step
- 1
Click Attach and selects
warranty-card.pdf(2.1 MB).EasyCRM confirms the type (Document) and size are within the channel's declared limits.
- 2
Optionally types a caption and clicks Send.
Uploads the file to object storage via
IFileStorageProviderand scans it with ClamAV. EasyCRM creates aMessageAttachmentand aMessage(Document,Sending). Enters the outbound pipeline (UC-25.2 steps 6–7).
Other paths
Multiple files in one send
Select three images at once. EasyCRM creates one Message per file, sent as a group; each shows its own delivery status.
Audio or video attachment
Attaches a .mp4 clip within the channel's declared size and duration limits. Proceeds as the main flow with Video.
If something goes wrong
Unsupported type or oversized file
If the file's type is not in SupportedMessageTypes or exceeds MaxSizeBytes for this channel. Rejects the file before upload with the specific reason; no Message is created.
Malware scan hit
If ClamAV flags the file. Rejects with EasyCrm:Conversation:AttachmentRejected; the file is discarded, not retained.
Good to know
- Media is stored by the platform in object storage for as long as the conversation (ADR-016).
- The allow-list is extended per channel to admit the audio/video types that channel carries.
