Select the sending address when several are available

An operator with access to more than one connected mailbox chooses which company address an outgoing email sends from.

When this happens: Operator opens the composer with more than one mailbox available.

Step by step

  1. 1

Open the composer for a new email, with access to both *support@* and *sales@*.

EasyCRM shows a sending-address picker listing every Active Email connection of the company.

  2. 2

    Select *[email protected]*.

Sets EmailMessageHeader.MailboxAddress to the chosen address, applies its signature, and uses its provider credentials to send.

Other paths

Composing a reply

For a reply, the picker is locked to the mailbox that received the conversation, unless the company has enabled cross-mailbox reply (off by default); when enabled, the operator may pick a different mailbox the same way.

If something goes wrong

Mailbox unavailable

A listed mailbox is RequiresReauth/Error/Disconnected. Shown disabled in the picker with its state as the reason; it cannot be selected.

Mailbox not allowed for the user's roles

The mailbox's allowed sender roles do not include any of the operator's roles. It is not offered as a sending address for a new email; replies in an existing thread are unaffected.

Good to know

  • A reply defaults to the mailbox that received the conversation.
  • A new email offers every Active mailbox.
