Schedule and publish social post
A Marketing User composes a social post for one or more brand accounts on X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook and Instagram, sends it at once or schedules it, and follows its status and numbers.
When this happens: You go to Marketing — Social posts — New post.
Step by step
- 1
Click New post.
The composer lists the accounts that can publish, by network (one waiting to be reconnected is shown, not usable), with the title (YouTube's video title), the text and a counter per network as it counts, photos and videos, the link, the first comment, the campaign and Send now / Schedule for / Save as draft.
- 2
Pick accounts and writes the text; may write a text of its own for a network on its tab (BR-1).
- 3
Drag photos and videos in. The server reads each file's bytes (type, size, dimensions, duration), virus-scans it and marks a file a chosen network would refuse.
- 4
Pastes a link; the system shows an editable preview (title, description, image). Instagram and TikTok show no link, and the composer says so.
- 5
Optionally writes a first comment (the composer notes the networks that will not take it) and picks a Campaign for attribution.
EasyCRM checks every chosen network's rules as the post changes and lists the problems; Send now and Schedule are blocked while any remain.
- 6
Pick Schedule for, a time in the future, and clicks Schedule.
EasyCRM checks the rules again (BR-2), saves the
SocialPostasScheduledand queuesPublishSocialPostJobdelayed to that time. At the time, claims the post, sends each account in parallel, stores each account'sExternalPostIdand permalink, posts the first comment where the network has one, and setsPublishedwhen every account succeeded.
Other paths
Send now
Click Send now. The same checks run and the job is queued at once; the post is Publishing and then finishes as in step 10.
Edit or cancel a scheduled post, draft, copy
Open a post in the calendar or list and edits a Draft or Scheduled post. The system deletes the queued job and, for a scheduled post, queues a new one. Click Cancel post on a Scheduled post. The system deletes the queued job and sets Cancelled. Click Save as draft. The post is saved as it stands, even with problems, and nothing is queued. Click Copy into a new post on any post. A new composer opens with its text, accounts and link (the files are not copied). Delete a Draft, Cancelled or Failed post.
Tiktok controls
For a TikTok account the composer reads the creator's creator_info afresh, shows the nickname, and offers the privacy choices TikTok allows that creator with none preselected; comments, duets and stitches are off unless ticked and greyed where the creator disabled them (a photo post: comments only). May mark commercial content (Your brand for promotional content, Branded content for a paid partnership, which is never private) and made with AI; a disclosure with neither ticked disables Send now with TikToks wording. The declaration above the button reads By posting, you agree to TikToks Music Usage Confirmation (with branded content: …Branded Content Policy and Music Usage Confirmation). The privacy and the video length are checked against creator_info again when the post is sent or scheduled. Until TikTok audits the platform's app every post is private and has no public link.
If something goes wrong
Token lapse or account gone between schedule and send
The connection was moved to RequiresReauth or disconnected after scheduling. At publish time that account's copy fails with AccountUnavailable and a clear reason; the rest publish normally and the post is PartiallyPublished. A post whose every account was revoked or disconnected fails as a whole with ConnectionRevoked as soon as it happens, and its job is deleted.
A network refuses
A provider refuses a copy (a rate limit included). That copy is Failed with the provider's words; nothing is retried. The post is PartiallyPublished if another copy succeeded, else Failed. The detail sheet shows each copy's reason; there is no notification.
A network is still processing
A video is still being processed (YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, Facebook, Instagram). The copy is Processing and SocialPostCheckJob looks at it every 30 seconds. After 20 looks, about ten minutes, it fails with ProcessingTimedOut.
The scheduled job never ran
SocialPostSweepJob (every 5 minutes) sends a scheduled post that is 2 minutes overdue, and takes up one left Publishing for 30 minutes. A job superseded by an edit does nothing.
Good to know
- Per-platform text variants override the default text for that platform.
- Media and text are validated for type/size/dimensions/length against each target platform before scheduling or sending — not at publish time.
- A post linked to a Campaign contributes to that Campaign's engagement metrics.
- A post is scheduled at most 365 days ahead; a file is at most 100 MB.
- Only a Draft, Cancelled or Failed post may be deleted; only a Draft or Scheduled post may be edited.
