Keep cc and bcc participants out of automatic profile association

CC and BCC addresses on an inbound email are recorded for display and for a later Reply All, but never used to create or associate a customer profile — a deliberate contrast with the personal-mailbox sync path, which does match CC addresses for Activities.

When this happens: An inbound email with CC/BCC participants is captured.

How it works

  • Captures an email to *[email protected]*, Cc'ing *[email protected]* — a colleague of the customer's, not previously known to the CRM.
  • Identifies the sender from the From address only and associates the conversation with that Contact.
  • EasyCRM stores the Cc address on EmailMessageHeader.Cc for display and for a later Reply All, without querying ContactChannelIdentity for it.
  • Does not create a Contact, does not create a ContactChannelIdentity, and does not associate the conversation with the Cc'd address — even though it appears on every message in the thread.

Other paths

The cc'd address later writes directly

The address later sends its own email as a From sender on a separate message. It is identified normally via UC-21.7, independent of its earlier CC appearances.

Good to know

  • The personal-mailbox sync path (FR-09) matches CC addresses to Contacts for Activities; that behavior is unchanged and does not apply to company-mailbox conversations.
