Connect a viber integration

The Owner registers a Public Account/bot on Viber's partner platform and connects it to the company by entering its authentication token once Viber has approved and created the account.

When this happens: Owner opens Admin — Channels — Connect Viber.

Step by step

  1. 1

Open Admin — Channels and clicks Connect Viber.

EasyCRM shows the authentication-token field with instructions for registering a Public Account/bot on Viber's partner platform.

  2. 2

Pastes the token issued once the account was approved and clicks Connect.

Calls Viber's get_account_info with the token to validate it and retrieve the account's id, name and URI. EasyCRM creates the ChannelConnection, encrypts the token, and calls set_webhook with the connection's inbound URL. Sets the connection's state to *Active* and displays Connected as [Account name].

Other paths

Replace the authentication token

On an existing connection, clicks Replace token and pastes a new one. Repeats steps 4–6 against the existing connection instead of creating a new one.

If something goes wrong

Invalid token

If get_account_info rejects the token. EasyCRM shows This token isn't valid — check it was copied in full from the Viber Admin Panel Nothing is created.

Webhook registration fails

If set_webhook fails. The connection is created in state *Error* with Viber's status description; the Owner can retry from the connection detail screen.

Good to know

  • A Viber integration is authenticated with an account token issued after Viber approves the Public Account/bot registration — there is no OAuth flow for this channel.
  • The token is never displayed again after it is saved.
  • Connecting is available only to holders of EasyCrm.Channels.Connect.
