Work the email mailbox through a dedicated view over the same inbox

An operator works email conversations through a dedicated Inbox view, filtered to Email, with subject and mailbox columns — the same conversations and the same conversation detail as the main Inbox.

When this happens: Operator opens Inbox — Email view (or navigates directly to /crm/inbox?view=email).

Step by step

  1. 1

Click Email in the Inbox's channel shortcut.

Applies the Email channel filter on top of the operator's current view, sort and filter selection, defaulting to the All view if none was active. EasyCRM renders the same row layout as the main Inbox, plus two columns: Subject and Mailbox address.

  2. 2

Sorts and filters exactly as in the main Inbox, still scoped to Email.

  3. 3

Select a row; EasyCRM opens the same conversation detail as from the main Inbox — replying, CC/BCC, attachments and signature follow the email composer.

Other paths

Switch back to the main inbox

Click All channels. System removes the Email channel filter and returns to the plain Inbox view, keeping the rest of the selection.

Several connected mailboxes

The company has two connected mailboxes — e.g. *sales@* and *support@*. Operator adds the channel-connection filter for *support@* on top of the Email view to see only that mailbox's conversations.

If something goes wrong

No mailbox connected

The company has no Email channel connection. The Email view shows No mailbox connected yet, with a link to channel administration for EasyCrm.Channels.Connect holders.

Good to know

  • Email is one channel inside the single conversation model — the Email view is a filtered lens over the same Inbox, not a separate mailbox screen. (BRD §3.8)
  • The Email view requires the same permissions as the main Inbox — no separate permission.
