Notify the responsible operator that a follow-up has fallen due

When a scheduled follow-up reaches its due time, the platform notifies the follow-up's owner (normally the conversation's responsible operator), sets the conversation's status to *Follow-up* and highlights it in the Due view — without marking it unread.

When this happens: FollowUpDueJob finds a due follow-up, running every minute.

Step by step

  1. 1

Sees the notification and the conversation highlighted in the Due view, and acts on the follow-up.

FollowUpDueJob finds Radu's follow-up on Ana Popescu's conversation, due at 14:00, and the current time reaches 14:00. Sets the conversation's status to *Follow-up* (FR-14) and marks it for the Due view. EasyCRM creates a FollowUpDue notification for Radu, the follow-up's owner, and pushes it. Leaves the conversation's read state untouched — it does not become unread.

Other paths

Operator completes the follow-up

Radu completes the follow-up from the conversation. No further FollowUpDue notification is sent for it.

If something goes wrong

Responsible operator no longer has access

At step 3 Radu is deactivated, no longer holds EasyCrm.Conversations, or his visibility scope no longer covers the conversation. The notification and Due-view highlight redirect instead of failing silently.

Good to know

  • A due follow-up notifies, highlights the conversation and sets it to *Follow-up* — it never marks the conversation unread. (FR-10-015, BRD §3.8)
  • FollowUpDueJob runs every minute, distinct from the daily job used for ordinary task reminders. (FR-26)
