Open the story, reel or post that a customer message replies to
An Operator opens the Story, Reel or Post a customer's message refers to, to understand what prompted it — even after a Story has expired on Facebook.
When this happens: Operator clicks the context preview card on a message.
Step by step
- 1
Sees a preview card (Replied to your Post) on a customer message and clicks it.
The content is a Post — still current on Facebook. EasyCRM opens the live Facebook permalink in a new tab.
Other paths
Story has expired
The referenced content is a Page Story more than 24 hours old. EasyCRM shows the retained thumbnail snapshot with This story is no longer available on Facebook — showing a saved preview instead of a live link.
If something goes wrong
No snapshot was captured
Neither a live permalink nor a stored snapshot is available. EasyCRM shows This content is no longer available without failing the rest of the conversation view.
Good to know
- Stories are snapshotted at ingestion time because Facebook does not guarantee their availability past 24 hours.
- Reels and Posts, which do not expire, link to the live Facebook content instead of the snapshot.
