Withhold message types the messenger API cannot transmit
The composer refuses oversized media the Messenger Send API does not accept, before the Operator attempts to send it.
When this happens: Operator attaches a file in the composer.
Step by step
- 1
Attaches a 40 MB video to a reply.
EasyCRM checks the file against the capability declaration (max 25 MB across attachment types) client-side. Rejects the attachment inline: This video is 40 MB; Messenger accepts up to 25 MB.
- 2
Attaches a 10 MB video instead; it is accepted.
If something goes wrong
Client bypassed, server re-validates
A send request reaches the server for an oversized attachment (e.g. A non-standard client). Rejects with EasyCrm:Channel:ContentTypeNotSupported; nothing is sent.
Good to know
- The composer only offers what Messenger's declared capability table supports (text, image, audio, video, file, each ≤ 25 MB).
- Validation happens both client-side and server-side; the server is authoritative.
