Handle a failed messenger send and resend the message

When Messenger rejects an outbound message, the failure is visible in the conversation and the Operator can resend it.

When this happens: Messenger's Send API returns a rejection for a message the platform sent.

Step by step

    Click Resend on the failed message.

    EasyCRM sends a message; Messenger returns a rate-limit rejection. Sets Message.DeliveryStatus = Failed with the provider's error, visible inline in the conversation. Re-validates the window and capability, then creates a new Message with RetryOfMessageId set to the original.

If something goes wrong

Window closed since the original attempt

At step 4 the window has since closed. Blocks the resend the same as a fresh send — a resend is never exempt from the window rule.

Good to know

  • Failed sends are visible, never silently retried, and never counted as a valid response in KPIs. (BRD §3.8, FR-08-012)
  • A resend re-runs every check a fresh send would.
