Identify, disconnect or reconnect a connected whatsapp number

An Admin confirms which physical number a connection represents from its verified business name and quality/tier details, and disconnects or reconnects it as needed — the WhatsApp-specific instance of the generic FR-15 lifecycle actions.

When this happens: Admin opens the connection detail screen.

Step by step

    Open the connection detail for a WhatsApp number and reviews its verified business name, masked number, WABA id, quality rating and messaging-limit tier.

    Confirm this is the correct number, and (if needed) clicks Disconnect or Reconnect.

    Applies the generic FR-15 disconnect or reconnect action, re-running Embedded Signup for the same phone_number_id on reconnect.

Good to know

  • Disconnecting does not deregister the number or WABA on Meta's side; that remains managed in Meta Business Manager.
  • Reconnect updates the existing ChannelConnection row in place — it never creates a duplicate for the same phone_number_id.
