Receive an inbound viber message into the inbox
A customer sends a message to the company's Viber account; it arrives in the shared Inbox as part of their conversation.
When this happens: The customer sends a message to the account on Viber.
How it works
- EasyCRM sends Is this still available? to *Acme Sales* on Viber.
- Delivers the callback to the connection's registered webhook.
- EasyCRM checks
X-Viber-Content-Signature, then resolves the customer and the conversation. - Appends the message as
Message.Type = Text,Inbound,Customer. - Routes the conversation (FR-24) and notifies the responsible party (FR-10).
Other paths
Media message
EasyCRM sends a picture instead of text. Downloads the media and stores it through IFileStorageProvider, appending Message.Type = Image with the attachment.
First contact from this subscriber
EasyCRM sends a conversation_started callback as the customer opens a chat with the account for the first time. EasyCRM records the event; the customer's next message callback creates the Contact and conversation as in the Main Flow.
If something goes wrong
Invalid webhook signature
If the signature does not match. The call is rejected with HTTP 401 and no message is created (FR-20-004, UC-20.4 ).
Good to know
- Inbound callbacks are verified against the connection's authentication token before processing.
- Media is stored in the platform's own object storage; Viber's media links are not relied on afterward. (FR-20-004, ADR-016)
