Reply to a telegram conversation from the platform

An operator replies to a customer's Telegram message with text or supported media, sent through the connected bot.

When this happens: Operator types a reply and clicks Send.

Step by step

    Open the conversation with *Maria Popescu* and types We do — I'll send you the color options.

  2. 2

    Click Send.

    Calls sendMessage with the bot token and the customer's Telegram user id. Sets ProviderMessageId from the response and Sent.

Other paths

Send media

Attaches a product photo instead of, or in addition to, text. Calls sendPhoto (or the matching method) with the file streamed from object storage.

If something goes wrong

Message too long

If the text exceeds 4,096 characters. The Send button stays disabled until the operator shortens it.

Good to know

  • Telegram never reports delivered/read receipts to bots — DeliveryStatus for this channel only reaches Sent or Failed.
  • Only content types the connection supports are offered.
