Leave an offline message and contact details
When the widget presents the offline form (out-of-hours or no-operator), the visitor leaves their name, email and a message, which still creates a normal conversation for an operator to pick up later.
When this happens: Visitor fills and submits the offline form.
How it works
- Sees We're offline right now — leave a message and we'll reply first thing tomorrow with Name, Email and Message fields.
- Enters Name, Email, Do you have the blue model in stock? and submits.
- EasyCRM runs the same honeypot/rate-limit/origin checks as
BootstrapAsync, then creates or resumes theVisitorSession, resolves/creates the Contact, and appends the message through the standard inbound pipeline. - EasyCRM shows a confirmation: Thanks — we'll reply to you at `[email protected]` as soon as we're back
- The conversation lands in the shared Inbox with
New, identical to an in-hours message once an operator opens it.
Other paths
Visitor returns later
EasyCRM reopens the widget the next day; the stored resume token reopens the same conversation with the operator's reply already visible.
If something goes wrong
Email missing or malformed
The email is empty or not a valid format. Inline error; nothing is submitted.
Good to know
- An offline-originated conversation carries no special status — normal
New, routed and reported like any other.
