Receive an inbound telegram message into the inbox

A customer sends a message to the company's Telegram bot; it arrives in the shared Inbox as part of their conversation.

When this happens: The customer sends a message to the bot on Telegram.

How it works

  • EasyCRM sends Hi, do you have this in blue? to *@sales_bot*.
  • Delivers the update to the connection's registered webhook.
  • EasyCRM checks the webhook secret token, then resolves the customer and the conversation.
  • Appends the message as Message.Type = Text, Inbound, Customer.
  • Routes the conversation (FR-24) and notifies the responsible party (FR-10).

Other paths

Media message

EasyCRM sends a photo instead of text. Downloads the file via getFile (≤ 20 MB) and stores it through IFileStorageProvider, appending Message.Type = Image with the attachment.

If something goes wrong

Invalid webhook secret

If the secret token header does not match. The call is rejected with HTTP 401 and no message is created (FR-19-004, UC-19.4 ).

Good to know

  • Inbound updates are verified against the connection's webhook secret before processing.
  • Media is stored in the platform's own object storage; Telegram's file links are not relied on afterward. (FR-19-004, ADR-016)
